5 Easy and Cheap Cleaning Solutions for The Home


There are many cheap and readily available ingredients that you can make your own cleaning solutions from, and with just a couple of pantry ingredients, you can create natural cleaners that will help you cover the entire house.

When combined with the right tools and a little elbow grease, these five cleaning solutions will get your entire home spotlessly clean with minimal effort, and without the toxicity or expense of store bought products:

  1. Homemade bathroom cleaner

Bathrooms often require more frequent deep cleans than other rooms in the home, but with this easy to make paste, you can get your shower, tub, toilet and tiles hygienically clean.

Mix the following ingredients:

  • ½ cup of warm water
  • 1 ½ cups of baking soda
  • ½ cup of liquid dish soap
  • 2 tablespoons of white vinegar
  • a squeeze of lemon juice

For tougher stains, apply the paste and leave it for at least 20 minutes before gently scrubbing it off.

  1. All-purpose spray

  • ½ cup of white vinegar
  • 1 ½ cups of warm water
  • about 10 drops of any citrus essential oil – lemon, orange, or grapefruit

  • 1 cup of warm water

  • A bit of mild dish soap
