Many modern kitchens contain items that are made of stainless steel, and while it can look very attractive, it can be tricky to keep clean. To restore the stainless steel in your kitchen, why not try the following tips:
Cleaning stainless steel with white vinegar and oil:
This cheap and environmentally friendly solution is fantastic for getting your stainless-steel sparkling again; simply spray all appliances with vinegar and wipe it off with a cloth, before dipping your cloth into a little oil and rubbing it over the appliances. Stand back and admire the results!
Using WD-40:
Perhaps one of the oldest and most traditional methods of cleaning stainless steel, you simply spray it onto your appliances and thoroughly wipe them down.
Eliminating fingerprints with glass cleaner:
Glass cleaner is great for cleaning stainless steel, and can simply be sprayed onto a clean cloth and wiped all over the appliances for a fantastic shine and to help remove any stubborn, unsightly fingerprints.
Using flour to clean a stainless-steel sink:
While this may sound a little unusual (not to mention messy), it works! Firstly, clean your sink to get rid of any dirt, grease or grime and then dry it thoroughly with a cloth, making sure no liquid is left anywhere; this is really important. Then, grab your bag of flour and coat the sink completely in it, using as much as you need to. Take a soft cloth, nothing too abrasive, and begin rubbing the surface of the sink with circular motions, after a little buffing, you’ll see your sink gradually beginning to sparkle, and once you’ve finished, it’ll look as good as new!
Trusty water and a cloth:
Does this sound too simple and too good to be true? Well, you just might be surprised to learn that water and a microfiber cloth make a fantastic combination when it comes to cleaning stainless steel. Dampen a clean cloth and simply spend a little time rubbing it over any grubby stainless-steel appliances, faucets or sinks, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the results. Wipe it off thoroughly afterwards.
