Make Cleaning Your Bathroom Easier

Cleaning your bathroom can be an arduous task and one that most of us don’t relish, however there are a few things that you can do to make the process a little quicker and easier:

Storage, and more storage!

It’s important that if you want to make quick work of cleaning your bathroom, that you think about what you put in it, and how you store it. Before you even begin cleaning, try to move as many bottles, toothbrushes and other items into cabinets and cupboards as possible, so that you can get to all the surfaces and get your bathroom properly clean.

Don’t leave damp towels lying around:

We all know that bacteria love to breed in wet and damp conditions, and the smell from a damp towel can be particularly unpleasant. So, wherever possible, airdry large bath towels and hang other smaller towels and flannels on hooks and on rails, never leave them draped over the side of the tub or sink. You can keep a basket in the corner of the bathroom for you and other members of your household to throw their dirty towels into, then make sure they get washed within a day ideally.

Always use a soap dish or tray:

Unsightly stains from soap are wholly unnecessary, so always use a dish or tray to keep soap in. If you want to be even cleaner, use a soap dispenser.

When bathing, choose bubbles over oils:

Oils may be luxurious, but when it comes to cleaning your tub, a bubble bath makes the job a lot easier. Never skip cleaning your tub, as rings and stains will quickly build up, and doing it often will prevent these from ever occurring.

Dry out plastic slip mats every day:

Plastic slip mats are very useful, but if left in the bottom of your tub or shower day after day without drying out or ever being cleaned, when you do finally lift them out, you’ll be horrified to see what is lurking beneath. Not only that, but these mats can permanently stain your bath if you’re not careful. So, lift them out and dry them completely after every use, or at least once a day, whichever is more convenient.

Keep your bathroom cleaning supplies to hand:

If your cleaning supplies are always at hand, then you’re far more likely to clean up any messes, spillages and stains as they occur, as might other members of your household. However, always ensure that your cloths, sponges and any other materials that you use for cleaning, are washed as regularly as you clean your bathroom, otherwise they will soon begin to smell and harbour nasty bacteria.

If you want to skip the bathroom busting tips and just get your bathroom clean without the effort, then simply hire a professional cleaner and sit back as your tub is buffed, your toilet is scrubbed and your shower is made to sparkle!
