Cleaning isn’t much fun, and while doing it is a necessity, there’s no way that it should take up too much of our time. We have some no fuss cleaning tips that we’re certain will limit the time you spend cleaning, and give you more time to do the things you love most, not to mention cost you a whole lot less than many shop bought cleaning products :
Keep it on the cloth
It can be tempting to spray liberally the furniture or household item that you wish to clean, with a cleaning product, but spraying it onto the cloth instead will be more time and cost effective.
Baking soda, the miracle product!
No need to spend money on expensive furniture cleaners or fabric freshening products, simply sprinkle baking soda over the furniture and vacuum it off a few minutes later.
Grubby vases?
You may not know this, but rice and warm water can get your vases sparkling clean in next to no time! Fill the vase ¾ full of warm water and place in a handful of raw rice. Next, take a wooden spoon and stir the contents briskly, pour it out and you’ll have a spotlessly clean vase.
Yukky toilet bowl, no problem!
Say goodbye to hours of scrubbing away at your grubby toilet bowl by simply pouring a bottle of flat cola into the toilet and leaving it for a few hours without flushing. Then, flush and lightly scrub for a sparkling clean bowl fit for a king or queen!
Cleaning chopping boards
Rub a cut lemon over the surface of your plastic chopping board and pop it in the microwave for no more than a minute, this will disinfect it just as well as a chemical cleaner.
Encrusted food on grills
This can be a nightmare to get rid of, but if you take some aluminium foil that was in the trash and scrunch it up, you can use it to remove food stains from grills and ovens.
Reusing sponges and cloths
Sponges and cloths may not be all that costly, but why throw them away at all? Pop them in the microwave for a couple of minutes to remove the germs and bacteria, and re use them.
Pesky pet dander
Don a pair of wet rubber gloves and run your hand over affected surfaces to pick up any unwanted pet hair.
Hardwater build ups
A cut lemon works wonders on areas where there are hardwater build ups and requires minimal effort. Rub the cut lemon over the affected areas and lightly polish for a sparkling effect.
Spotless stainless steel
Stainless steel can quickly look grubby when covered with unsightly fingerprints, but these can be easily eradicated by rubbing a small amount of baby oil onto them and wiping off.
These are just a few simple and cheap no fuss cleaning tips aimed to help you keep your home clean in the shortest amount of time. However, to completely reduce the time you spend on cleaning your home, why not have a professional cleaning company come in and take care of it for you? No need then to worry about dust, grime or bacteria, and most companies will have flexible plans and pricing schedules to suit you.
