Quick And Easy Ways To Blitz Clean Your Home

Quick And Easy Ways To Blitz Clean Your Home

Few of us really enjoy cleaning our homes, but if there was a way to do it quickly and easily, perhaps it wouldn’t become so much of a chore?

Check out the following quick tips for blitzing each area of your home, to get the place looking spick and span in next to no time:

Kitchen blitzing:

The kitchen is a room that can easily look messy, particularly when dishes are left in the sink and food stains aren’t cleaned up.

  • Wash dirty dishes or load them into the dishwasher, and give the sink area a quick wipe with a soapy sponge
  • Wipe all stains and counters with a cloth and squirt with a disinfectant spray to help them gleam and smell fresh
  • Check the floor for dirty spots and stains and wipe them away. Mopping the floor may take more time than you have to spare, but wiping noticeable stains will help make it look less dirty to the untrained eye!
  • Tidy away any unwanted items from counter tops and fold up dish towels or stow them away

Living space blitzing:

This is often the room in the home that is most popular with all members of the household, and as a result, it can easily begin to look cluttered and untidy.

  • Even the most expensive sofa can look untidy if cushions are strewed all over it, crumbs are spilled on the seats and stains are left uncleaned. Tidy and plump up the cushions, vacuum any crumbs or food items and sponge down any stained areas with a non-abrasive product.
  • Wipe coffee stains from tables and dust all surfaces.
  • Tidy away books, magazines, toys and any other items that have been left lying around.

Bathroom blitzing:

Since we use our bathrooms to keep ourselves fresh and clean, it stands to reason that the room itself should be equally as fresh and clean.

  • Toothpaste stains on sinks, mirrors and tiles can quickly make the room look dirty, so wipe them with a damp cloth and your favourite cleaning solution, preferably one that has a clean smelling scent
  • A grimy toilet is easy to keep clean if the seat and rim is wiped regularly with an antibacterial solution, and a bleach based cleaning product is used for the bowl. For tougher stains, a little scrubbing with a bleach soaked brush might be called for!
  • Showers and bath tubs can also quickly become grimy if not cleaned regularly, but generally speaking, a good dowsing with a cleaning product and an occasional wipe with a damp cloth or towel, should help eliminate soap scum and limescale that can build up

Bedroom blitzing:

As this is the room that we go to for relaxation and sleep, it makes sense that it should be a calming environment with as little clutter as possible.

  • Try to get into the habit of making your bed every morning, as this small act will instantly make the room look tidier
  • Also try to make it a habit that you fold your clothes up neatly if they’re going to be left out, or put them away when they’re not in use. The same goes for any jewellery or accessories that you might have
  • Give all surfaces a quick dust and tidy away any items that don’t need to be left out
